Our Rare Books and Special Collections includes a wide-ranging variety of materials from across the world. Highlights include medieval manuscripts, unconventional artist books, early illustrated science and medical books, an expansive science fiction collection, and so much more.
These items illustrate centuries of cultural, religious, scientific and social change. They are used for teaching students across the University, and for research by both academics and external researchers.
Rare books aren’t just a unique addition to the University Library’s collections; they are a priceless resource for researchers and students, now and into the future. Please note that the Library is not currently accepting any donations of rare and special collections.
We invite you to support our acquisitions and projects to enhance collection discoverability and use.
