The new Library Search portal and Library Services Platform is now live.

Project Overview

The single interface will replace CrossSearch, the Catalogue and MyLoans, providing a one-stop search tool for research, teaching and learning that will enable user-friendly searching and requesting of library resources.

Status updates

The new service went live on January 8, 2019.

Access to CrossSearch, the catalogue and MyLoans is no longer available.

Drop in sessions are available for interested staff and students to see the new Library Search portal and ask questions:

Need to know

What does this mean for you?

A new single portal provides search and discovery for all Library collections. A separate, traditional library catalogue isn't part of the new system.

My account

Some information from MyLoans, including current loans, has been carried over to the new system, My account however some information hasn't:

  • Reading (Borrowing) History – will not be available after December 30, 2018.
  • MyLoans feeds
  • Requests for items on loan or held at another campus – Requests not filled or requests made after 16 December in the old system haven't been migrated. You will be able to place requests again starting 8 January 2019.
  • Holds – if you have a hold ready for pick up, you will have until your usual expiry date to pick it up.

Unit of study readings (eReserve)

eReserve links to Library content have been migrated to the new system. If there is an issue with your Unit of Study readings, please contact the Library.

Library mobile app

The app has been redeveloped to integrate with the new Library Services Platform and got an updated look and feel too. If you haven't updated the app since before first semester start, please update via the Google or Apple app stores to regain full functionality.

Library Community ID Borrowers

If you are a Community borrower, Alumni or a LPAB student, you will need to create a new Library Community ID to access the new Library Services Platform.

  • To create a new account, you should have received a temporary password sent to your registered email address.
  • Using the temporary password, follow the instructions here to create your new account.

If you do not see the email with your temporary password in your inbox from the Library, please check your spam or junk folder.

If you are still having trouble or cannot retrieve this email please contact the library for assistance.
