To mark GAAD and IDAHOBIT, we are sharing related resources from across the Library, University and beyond. Our Library is stronger because of the diversity of our clients, colleagues and communities, and we value equity, inclusion and dignity for all.

Visit our GAAD and IDAHOBIT book display in the foyer on level 3 of Fisher Library to browse or borrow readings recommended by our Library staff. There is a wide selection of titles written by, for and about people living with disability, and another selection highlighting queer resistance, solidarity, courage, and joy in the face of bigotry.

International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)
Friday 17 May 2024

IDAHOBIT is annually observed on 17 May to raise awareness of the violence, discrimination, and repression that LGBTQIA+ people face worldwide. The date was originally selected to commemorate the 1990 decision by the World Health Organisation to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases.
