One of the key ways students access Library resources is via Reading Lists. For most University courses, an online Reading List is collated by the course convener, consisting of required and recommended book chapters, articles and other relevant resources. Students can access these conveniently online directly through the course's Canvas page.

We are excited to share that a new Reading List user interface will be released on 14 January 2025. This cleaner, streamlined design will appear for all users.

Conserideration has been made particularly for:

  • Prioritising usability for smaller devices, particularly laptops
  • Optimising key workflows for academics
  • Improving resources accessibility for students
  • Enhancing alignment within Canvas

The key Reading List management workflows remain the same.

Our Library team has worked extensively behind the scenes to conduct comprehensive testing and to ensure a smooth transition onto the new interface. This new Reading List user interface is part of our continuous commitment to improving the student experience and enhancing Library resources.
