ProQuest is introducing a new Ebook Central Reader App for downloading and reading ebooks from the ProQuest Ebook Central database. The new Reader App replaces Adobe Digital Editions and provides a more modern, secure, and accessible reading experience.

You can continue to use the ProQuest Ebook Central database to search for ebooks, read them online, download chapters, and manage your bookshelf as usual. With the Ebook Central Reader App, you can:

  • Download and read borrowed full ebooks offline
  • Adjust font size (EPUB) and zoom levels (PDF)
  • Navigate to specific pages or chapters
  • Add and manage bookmarks
  • Search within the ebook
  • Change the app’s language settings

From 16 February, you can download the new app by following these installation instructions. To learn how to use the app, watch this short walkthrough. Please note that access to ebooks from other library resources/databases will remain unchanged. For more information about ebook access in general, visit the Library’s ebooks page.
