On 31 March 2025, Trans Day of Visibility is internationally celebrated with a focus on trans pride and awareness.

Transgender Day of Visibility is an international celebration of trans pride, recognising the experiences and achievements of transgender and non-binary people. Observed on the 31st of March every year, it is also dedicated to raising awareness of the discrimination faced by gender diverse people around the world.

This Transgender Day of Visibility, you can connect with the gender diverse community at the University of Sydney by attending an event, or expand your understanding by perusing resources that centre trans voices and experiences.

Attend a flag raising ceremony and breakfast

When: 8:30 – 10 am, Monday 31 March 2025
Where: Rooftop terrace, level 5, Fisher Library

Enjoy a light breakfast, hear guest speakers, and observe the raising of the transgender pride flag above the Quadrangle Building.

Browse and borrow from a selection of books including: memoirs by transgender and non-binary authors; fictional works exploring trans themes, identities, and experiences; and academic texts from sociology, history, and gender studies.
