戲劇月刋 Xi ju yue kan (The theatre monthly)

Discontinued, monthly periodical on the Chinese theatre and drama of the 20th Century, published in Shanghai during the late 1920s and early 1930s.

戲劇月刋 Xi ju yue kan (The theatre monthly) is a discontinued, monthly art journal on the Chinese theatre and drama of the 20th Century. The journal was published in Shanghai during民国 Minguo 17-21 (1928-1932) and was edited by 劉豁公LIU Huogong, notable theatre critic and author of梅郎小史 Mei Lang xiaoshi [A Small History of Mei Lanfang] (Shanghai: Zhonghua, 1920).

The Library’s East Asian Collection holds the title from volume 2 issue 8 to volume 3 issue 12. Although our holding is partial, the East Asian Collection copies are the unique original copies in Australia.

Microform copies are also available for v.2:1(1929)-3:12(1932).
