Incunabula - early printed books

Some of the earliest printed books from Europe

Inunabula is the term used to describe early printed books, pamphlets and broadsides, from the 1450s through to 1501. Incunabula is a Latin word, which translates to “in the cradle”. The University of Sydney Library collection of 35 incunable typographic books includes the 1497 edition of La commedia divina which contained the Giorgione illustration and death notice.
