Returning items

Return chutes

All library locations have returns chutes. Fisher, SciTech and Camden Commons have 24/7 returns chutes.  

You can return most items through the chutes at any University of Sydney library, regardless of where you borrowed them. 

Short Loan items need to be returned to the location they were borrowed from.

Libcabinets 

All material borrowed from our Libcabinets must be returned to the machine they were borrowed from. 
 
To return items:

1. Scan your card.
2. Open the door.
3. Place the borrowed items back on the shelf (they can be placed anywhere).
4. Close the door, and the items will be returned off your Library account.

Post

When returning borrowed items via the post, please consider using registered or express post, so that the item can be tracked.

Once an item is received by the library it will be checked in and removed from your account.
