About Lean Library Access
Lean Library Access is a browser extension that provides access to Library subscribed content directly via publisher websites, bypassing the need to first navigate to Library platforms.
How to install Lean Library Access
- Visit the Lean Library Access homepage.
- Click the “Add” button in the top right corner and follow the installation prompts.
- Review permissions and Lean Library’s privacy policy.
- Select “University of Sydney” as your institution.
- Follow the prompts to review your settings.
How to use Lean Library Access
If you are on a publisher site that contains Library subscribed content, the “LL” icon on your browser will turn from grey to green and prompt you to authenticate using your university credentials. Click on the green “Get Access” button to continue.
If the publisher site you are visiting cannot provide direct access to an item, Lean Library will try to find access through another platform. The “LL” icon will turn green and provide you with alternative links.
Privacy
Lean Library does not collect any personal information unless you actively share it. It does not collect your IP address or your device’s unique device IDs. For more information on data collection, please see Lean Library’s privacy policy.
