  • To be eligible under this agreement, corresponding authors must use their authorised University of Sydney institutional email address: name@sydney.edu.au 
    • i.e. john.smith@sydney.edu.au or sarah.jones@sydney.edu.au
  • For students: use the authorised student email address -  the “UniKey” followed by @uni.sydney.edu.au 
    •  i.e. xyz4321@uni.sydney.edu.au
  • Do not use personal email addresses [i.e. Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc.] 
  • Do not use email addresses affiliated with other research centres, institutes, or similar organisations. 
  • Use of prohibited email address above results to author’s ineligibility under this agreement.
  • Authors are eligible to publish in both Gold open access and Hybrid open access journal titles.

Eligible article types

  • Fully peer-reviewed research, review, and case-study articles are eligible. 
  • Editorials, comments, protocols, methods, and similar materials are not eligible.

Acceptance date

Eligible articles that have an acceptance date during the term of this agreement are eligible to be published as open access.

Information on submitting articles for Open Access publishing

  • Follow CSHL Press’ article submission guidelines at each journal homepage—see “Author Info” section: Genes and DevelopmentGenome Research; RNA; and Learning and Memory.
  • The author, on acceptance of their paper, is informed by the publisher of their Open Access publishing options. Author may select to publish OA at no APC charge when they submit their License to Publish form.
  • Articles by authors, at participating institutions,  will be published under these Creative Commons license: CC BY or CC BY-NC.
