- Use of prohibited email address above results to author’s ineligibility under this agreement.
- Authors are eligible to publish in Hybrid open access titles under this agreement.
- Authors are ineligible to publish in Gold open access titles under this agreement.

Acceptance date
Eligible articles that have an acceptance date during the term of this agreement are eligible to be published as open access.
Information on submitting articles for open access publishing
- Observe The BMJ ’s article submission process.
- The author, on acceptance of their paper, is informed by the publisher of their Open Access publishing options. Author may select to publish OA at no APC charge when they submit their License to Publish form.
- Articles by authors, at participating institutions, may be published under these Creative Commons licenses: CC BY or CC BY-NC. It is important to note that CC BY-NC is the default open-access option to be selected for BMJ articles. On the other hand, CC BY is only available to authors in case funders mandate it.
